Lymm Wednesday Night Football

Welcome to Lymm WNF.

We were formed in 2001 as Lymm Dads FC. The club now runs friendly football sessions on Wednesday evenings at Lymm High School, from 9pm to 10pm.

We run one or two games of football each week, depending on numbers, and with players allocated according to ability. You are welcome to join us regardless of your level of footballing ability.

Teams are chosen at the start of play each week, so players are asked to arrive no later than 8:55 pm.

Code of Conduct

Most of us have jobs or studying to attend to on Thursday mornings. Our football sessions are intended to help us a little with our physical fitness, and as a social activity. All levels of footballing ability are encouraged to join, and we ask that you give equal consideration to players of greater or lesser ability than you.

Here are our basic rules and expectations:

• No slide tackling, aggressive play, or anti-social behaviour

• Take a turn as goalkeeper if your team does not have a designated goalkeeper

• If you kick the ball over the fence, you must get it straight away

Equipment

Each player will be issued with a training bib, which will remain the property of the club. Players will be required to keep the bib for their own use, wash it themselves, and return it to the club when they leave the club.

Lymm High School has strict requirements for footwear on their new 3G surface.

Footwear that is acceptable:

✅ Screw in studs, tightened

✅ Moulded sole studs

Footwear that is not acceptable:

❎ Blades

❎ Pimple studs

❎ Trainers or shoes with flat soles

Communication

Group communication will be by a WhatsApp group. Members will sign up for the next game by using the WhatsApp group. This group will also be used to communicate news such as pitch closures due to weather. All members must join this group.
